Jump to navigationJump to searchPrimtive Irish is the name given by linguists for the Irish language before the 6th century CE, or thereabouts. There are no manuscripts from this time, but we can learn about this language thanks to the many stone inscriptions from this time, written in the script called Ogam (in Modern Irish: Ogham).
