Guide

  • The superscripts ⟨L⟩, ⟨N⟩ and ⟨H⟩ indicate that the word to which they are attached to causes lenition, eclipsis and h-prothesis, respectively, to the word that directly follows, where applicable.
  • nom_sing_n, gen_sing_n, prep_sing_n and voc_sing_n are variables to indicate nouns in the nomino-accusative singular, genitive singular, prepositional-locative (dative) singular and vocative singular, respectively.
  • nom_dual_n, gen_dual_n, prep_dual_n and voc_dual_n are variables to indicate nouns in the nomino-accusative dual, genitive dual, prepositional-locative (dative) dual and vocative dual, respectively.[note 1]
  • nom_plur_n, gen_plur_n, prep_plur_n and voc_plur_n are variables to indicate nouns in the nomino-accusative plural, genitive plural, prepositional-locative (dative) plural and vocative plural, respectively.
  • nom_sing_a, gen_sing_a, prep_sing_a and voc_sing_a are variables to indicate adjectives in the nomino-accusative singular, genitive singular, prepositional-locative (dative) singular and vocative singular, respectively.
  • nom_plur_a, gen_plur_a, prep_plur_a and voc_plur_a are variables to indicate adjectives in the nomino-accusative plural, genitive plural, prepositional-locative (dative) plural and vocative plural, respectively.[note 1]
  • ⟨*⟩ marks forms that are not directly attested in Déise Irish but could be used as a substitute where no form is directly attested in the dialect.
